Volunteers Urgently Needed
RESOLVE of Washington State is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers. Like any volunteer-run organization, at some times our chapter has a full staff, and at other times it does not. We are currently short on volunteers and are in need of new volunteers in order to keep our current services available and running continuously. Our goal is to have these positions filled by the end of 2008. Email us for more information or to volunteer.
Open Volunteer Positions
- Chapter Secretary
- Manage all "snail mail" and email mailing lists (on Excel), update periodically with new additions/changes. Print mailing labels. Prepare mailings (very rare) and take to post office. Send email notices when needed. Take notes at meetings.
- Meeting Site Coordinator
- Attend monthly chapter meetings, resuming in September. Introduce speakers and/or lead an informal peer support meeting. A very small amount of paper work each month. This position works best for someone who lives or works on the eastside and can travel comfortably to Kirkland once a month.
- PhoneLine Volunteer
- Return phone calls made to our PhoneLine by offering support, resources, answering questions, etc. Forward inquiries to appropriate volunteers.
- PhoneLine Coordinator
- Coordinate the PhoneLine volunteers and help as a PhoneLine volunteer. Forward inquiries to appropriate volunteers.

Who Can Volunteer?
We are a dedicated group of people and friends who have come together for the same reasons: to offer support and to let others know that they are not alone in this journey.
Our volunteers live all over the Puget Sound area. We communicate often by email (sometimes by phone), and have Volunteer meetings about twice a year. We gather a bit more frequently January through May, as that is when we are planning for our annual conference.
